NEURODYN EVOLUTION consists of a complete and easy-to-operate electrotherapy and manometric biofeedback unit for perineal stimulation. In both computerized and non-computerized versions, it contains 1 output channel that enables multiple treatment options, which makes this device essential when it comes to high-quality urogynecological or coloproctological treatments.
This piece of equipment is destined for low-frequency electrotherapeutic modalities (same frequency range as in TENS or FES stimulation).
In the feedback procedure, the patient needs to contract the perineal floor for the equipment to provide visual information related to the intensity at which those contractions can be performed. In the computerized mode, such information will be displayed on the computer screen; in the non-computerized mode, in a colored-light bargraph that accompanies the device. Being so, it is possible to view both the actual perineal contraction strength and the contraction suggestions produced by the equipment.
Since the technology employed by the device is the same as that found in computers, user control happens through touch keypads on the device console (non-computerized mode) or through a computer keyboard and mouse (computerized mode). All the information pertaining the parameters chosen by the therapist is shown on an alphanumerical liquid crystal display (LCD) once in the non-computerized mode, or on the computer screen in the computerized version.
| Neurodyn Evolution allows you to choose from the following stimulation parameters in both modes: |
| Waveform: |
Balanced symmetrical biphasic rectangular pulses |
| Maximum Current Intensity: |
80mA peak for a 1 kΩ load (output mode in current source) |
| Intensity Control: |
UP and DOWN keys found on the equipment panel |
| Timer: |
Allows the operator to select from an application time range of 1- 60 minutes in increments of 1 minute. By the end of the duration chosen, an alarm signal will go off and the current supply will be cut. The selected value will decrease within time |
| R (Pulse Repetition Rate): |
Variable from 1 – 150 Hz in steps of 5 Hz |
| T (Pulse Time / Duration): |
Variable from 100 µs to 1000 µs in steps of 50 µs. After the generation of one pulse, another pulse with the same length but inverted polarity is emitted so as to balance the electric charges on tissues |
| Rise (Pulse Rise Time): |
Variable from 0 to 10 seconds in increments of 1 second. It controls the contraction speed, that is, the interval between the start and maximum muscular contraction. Long periods cause a slow and gradual contraction. Short periods cause a more sudden contraction (prompt) |
| DECAY (Pulse Fall Time): |
Variable from 0 to 10 seconds in steps of 1 second. It controls the speed at which a contraction is released, that is, the interval from maximum contraction to muscle relaxation. Long periods cause slow relaxation. Short periods cause more sudden relaxation (prompt) |
| ON TIME: |
Time of maximum muscular contraction, variable from 0 to 30 seconds in steps of 1 second. It controls the time in which the current runs through the electrodes during each stimulation cycle |
| OFF TIME: |
Time of rest from muscular contraction, variable from 0 to 30 seconds in steps of 1 second. It controls the time in which the current does not run through the electrodes during each cycle |
| Mains: |
AVR 110 / 240 V~ (60 Hz) |
| Input Power – Consumption (Max): |
30 Va |
| Network Protection Fuse: |
500 mA (20AG) |
| Output Channels: |
1 Channel for electrostimulation (single channel) and 1 channel for perineal manometric biofeedback |
| Timer: |
Variable from 1 to 60 minutes in steps of 1 minute with countdown |
| Dimensions (mm): |
360 x 300 x 115 (L x W x H) |
| Weight (approximate without accessories): |
0.5 kg |
| Electrostimulation parameters (for both computerized and non-computerized working modes): |
| Amplitude range: |
80 mA peak |
| Pulseform: |
Balanced symmetrical biphasic rectangular wave |
| Time (Width – T) of the current pulse positive phase at 50% of maximum amplitude: |
Variable from 100 µs to 100 µs in steps of 1 second |
| Pulse Repetition Rate (R) Range at 50% of maximum amplitude: |
Variable from 1 Hz to 150 Hz in steps of 5 Hz |
| ON Time: |
Variable from 1 to 30 seconds in steps of 1 second |
| OFF Time: |
Variable from 1 to 30 seconds in steps of 1 second |
| RISE (Pulse Rise Time): |
Variable from 1 to 10 seconds in steps of 1 second |
| DECAY (Pulse Fall Time): |
Variable from 1 to 10 seconds in steps of 1 second |
| Biofeedback parameters - Non-computerized working mode: |
| 1 – 5 peaks in a period of 1 – 10 seconds followed by a rest interrupt below 10 – 20% in a period of 1 to 20 seconds |
| Isometric work of 30 to 95% followed by a rest interrupt below 10 – 20% ina period of 1 to 20 seconds |
