The use of double lumen catheters has increased significantly over the years.
When using two urethral catheters at the same time for urodynamic studies, doctors are faced with technical problems: |
- Introducing two catheters at once is harder.
- There can be traumas to the patient’s urethra, making it more susceptible to infection.
- The removal of the infusion probe during micturition can cause the pressure catheter to fall out.
- Adhesive tape as well as tying rings used to keep the catheter in place end up hindering the flow and causing patient’s discomfort. They can also split the urine flow, making it divert to the floor.
- Catheters with calibers over 7Fr used in men can interfere with the flow and the urethra obstruction measures.
|
Dynamed is proud to offer a cystometry catheter which prevents all of the above problems:
- Easier introduction since it consists of an only catheter with appropriate lumen.
- It prevents wrong readings because its diameter does not interfere with the urine flow.
- It prevents urethral traumas and, consequently, infections.
- There are specific lengths available for men, women and children.
- It does not require manipulation of the catheters during micturition.
- The lowest price on the market.
- Recommended to be used only once, following ANVISA’s directives.

- External diameters: 7 and 9Fr.
- 70% of the inner lumen dedicated to vesical filling.
- 30% of the inner lumen dedicated to pressure measurement.
- Child catheter length: 25cm.
- Adult catheter length: 45cm.
- It is equipped with clamps for catheter obstruction to prevent liquid leakage.
- Female luer ends.
- It can be used with any urodynamic equipment or transducer.
